Fred S. Rosen was the James L. Gamble Professor of Pediatrics and President of the Center for Blood Research at the Harvard Medical School. He had a long and distinguished career in which he combined clinical practice in immunodeficiency diseases with cutting-edge research on basic mechanisms in immunity.
